Grad Bag Students are Ready, Set...

...AND THEY'RE OFF TO COLLEGE!

Grad Bag New York:

Close to 200 students left the Let's Get Ready College Transition Workshop ready for dorm life. Each got a sheet set, a comforter, a blanket, a set of hangers, a rug, a bed pillow, a foam mattress, and more! By quick count, we packaged and gave away over 1,500 items!

Grad Bag Boston:

The pilot was amazing. 50 students attended the transition workshop at the LGR offices and filled their bags with gear.

Volunteers- So many awesome NY friends, family members, and LGR staff were on hand to help load and unload the 26' (!) truck, set up, and giveaway the goods.

A fantastic team of Boston volunteers, including many new friends and LGR staff, assembled to get Grad Bag Boston off and running with great enthusiasm and dedication.

In-Kind Supporters- We are enormously grateful for the generosity of our donors. We couldn't have done it without the help of our laundry, trucking and storage providers. And we are so grateful to our supporters who cleaned out their closets and brought us their goods!

Funders- We raised the funds to hire 3 college students who were terrific sorting, cleaning, and packaging for the NY effort. We're grateful to these students who enthusiastically volunteered to help on distribution day.

NOW WE'RE OFF...

Planning for Grad Bag 2016 has already begun. With your support we will continue add more colleges to our list of collection sites and will send even more students off to college armed with dorm supplies and confidence!
